Wayne Dyer's "Change Your Thoughts

Verse 49:
"The sage has no fixed mind; he is aware of the needs of others...He
sees everything as his own self; he loves everyone as his own child."
"Change the way you look at yourself...Change the way you look at
other people."
"One version of this verse says: 'I trust men of their word, and I
trust liars. If I am true enough, I feel the heartbeats of others
above my own.' Whether you call it 'judging' or 'labeling,' notice
when you think of others as evil, lazy, dishonest, stupid, or ugly.
Then affirm: I see myself in this person, and I choose to be in a
space of goodness rather than judgment. There's a Sanskrit word,
Namaste, than can help you with this. When used in a greeting, it
roughly translates to 'I honor the place in you where we are all one.'
So silently or verbally begin telling others 'Namaste' in order to
remind yourself to love everyone as your own children."
This world I have made is one of duality - an opposite for everything
and anything - typical of ego construction - one never has to keep a
decision - there is always an alternative. I am reminded often of
judging and labeling because this is what I do in a world of duality -
label others and judge others. However, if I pause enough to remember
that as I label them or judge them, I also am labeled and judged. Is
this how I __.

"I
Want To Know"
I
want to know, when day is done,
That life has been worth living,
That I have brought somebody joy
Through kind, unselfish giving.
I
want to feel, when evening falls
and shadows quickly lengthen
That I have made somebody glad,
Some weakness I have strengthened.
I
want to know that come what may
I've left some cheer and gladness;
I want to feel at close of day
I've banished someone's sadness.
I
want to feel at close of day
That someone's cares were lighter
Because of kindness I have done,
May someone's life be brighter.

New
decisions and changes are frightening but
they
can also be exhilarating!
No
matter what pressures you are under, what
tough
decisions you face, keep in mind that it
is
possible to turn chaos and turmoil into an
exciting
beginning.
Look
at all the options life has to offer. Ask
yourself
how those options fit in with your
deepest
desires. Whether your desires are
intellectual,
artistic, spiritual, or physical, you
can
make a decision, now, to make them into
realities.
Do
this and you will soar over boundaries, and
recognize
that your endless possibilities have
no
limits.
You've
put a lot of time and effort into getting where you are. Take some time to
truly
enjoy
it,
right here and right now.
What
is the point in struggling and striving for more, if you do not enjoy what you
already
have?
Why
put your effort into getting further ahead, if you cannot enjoy where you
already are?
Take
some time to simply enjoy. No matter where you may be, there is always a
way
to truly enjoy the incredible blessing of
life.
And
the more you enjoy that blessing, the more it grows. The more you truly
enjoy
what you
have,
the more there will be to enjoy.
It
makes no sense to postpone your enjoyment until some
imagined
time in
the future
when
conditions will be ideal. For if you cannot
find enjoyment
where you are,
that ideal
time will never come.
Take
time, on a regular basis, to truly enjoy, even if there are
no
reasons.
For
when you do, there will soon be plenty of reasons.

Once upon a time there was an island where
all the feelings lived; Happiness, Sadness,
Knowledge, and all the others, including Love.
One day it was announced to all of the feelings
that the island was going to sink to the bottom
of the ocean. So all the feelings prepared their
boats to leave.
Love was the only one that stayed. She wanted
to preserve the island paradise until the last
possible moment.
When the island was almost totally under love
decided it was time to leave. She began looking
for someone to ask for help. Just then Richness
was passing by in a grand boat. Love asked,
"Richness, Can I come with you on your boat?"
Richness answered, "I'm sorry, but there is a lot
of silver and gold on my boat and there would be
no room for you anywhere."
Then Love decided to ask Vanity for help who was
passing in a beautiful vessel. Love cried out, "Vanity,
help me please." "I can't help you," Vanity said, "You
are all wet and will damage my beautiful boat."
Next, Love saw Sadness passing by. Love said,
"Sadness, please let me go with you." Sadness
answered, "Love, I'm sorry, but, I just need to be
alone now."
Then, Love saw Happiness. Love cried out,
"Happiness, please take me with you." But Happiness
was so overjoyed that he didn't hear Love calling to him.
Love began to cry. Then, she heard a voice say,
"Come Love, I will take you with me." It was an elder.
Love felt so blessed and overjoyed that she forgot to
ask the elder his name. When they arrived on land,
the elder went on his way. Love realized how much
she owed the elder.
Love then found Knowledge and asked, "Who was
it that helped me?" "It was Time," Knowledge answered.
"But why did Time help me when no one else would?"
Love asked. Knowledge smiled and with deep wisdom
and sincerity, answered, "Because only Time is capable
of understanding how great Love is."

Setting
a goal can be a huge challenge. Setting
goals
can even be intimidating, no less following
through
with one. When you set goals you are
taking
responsibility for the outcome. What's easy
about
that?
Instead
of being fearful or intimidated, praise
yourself
for your willingness to accept the risk.
Growth
requires you to venture outside your
comfort
zone. Be willing to take on the unknown
and
be courageous when you face it.
Set
a goal today that challenges your usual way
of
thinking. As you exercise your courage through
goal
setting, prosperity will naturally follow.
Today
can be about the same as yesterday and the day before.
Or, it can be a new, invigorating, exciting
adventure.
You
can try to drain as much value as you can from this day. Or,
you
can resolve to fill it with new value through your thoughts and
your
efforts.
You
can complain that this day is just like all the rest, and struggle to get
through it.
Or, you can greet this day with enthusiasm and
find positive,
enriching
possibilities
that you've never seen before.
You
can, on this day, be filled with resentment over the difficulties
with which
you're
burdened. Or, you can choose to fill your heart with
gratitude
for the
opportunity to move positively forward, no
matter what may
stand in your way.
This
day can serve as an excuse to be miserable. Or, it can serve as an
opportunity to
fulfill the very best of your possibilities.
This
day is yours right now. Choose to fill it with all the richness that
life has to offer.
